在美国境外服役的 现役军人 及其配偶，以及某些外交官和退伍军人，可能有资格获得最多五年的 延期以满足执照更新 要求（根据 《弗吉尼亚州法典》 第54 .1 -117 条 的规定）。

Spouses of active-duty military personnel assigned to a duty station in Virginia are eligible for expedited processing using the Military Spouse Expedited License Application. A temporary, non-renewable 12-month license for certain military spouses licensed in another state who need more time to meet Virginia-specific requirements is also an option if necessary.
